Thanks.  Grin I wanted to buy this:

But I didn't know if it would be cheaper to make it.

it probably would since the shipping is $9.00. thats crazy. but anyhow, you can get a cheap plain hoodie at Walmart (even though i hate them..lol) for like $8 probably.  Paint would be cheap too.   The other thing that kinda sucks is that they dont have a huge selection of colors...mainly like black, grey, navy.

I hate Walmart too...that's the problem. I thought $9 was insane. I usually use acrylic paint to stencil, and I already have an Alice In Chains stencil made, but I don't know how white would work on the black hoodie. Maybe I could try red? Or forget the hoodie and do it in another t-shirt or long sleeve shirt. Do you know where I could get a cheap long sleeve black or red t-shirt?

Thanks for all your help!

your welcome Smiley i know for sure that Michael's carries long sleeve t-shirts and regular sweatshirts. AC Moore...i dont know if there is one near you tho....carries long sleeve t-shirts for like $6 or $7 i think.  i think red paint would be cool on like a grey shirt...or red on navy

I'm not sure we have AC Moore around here (Northwest Ohio). What kind of store is it? I have heard of it, but don't know what it is. I am going to have to get some shirts from Michaels. Maybe even Joann's would have them? I am for sure going to be able to go to Joann's before Micheals, because I can walk there from karate, and I beg my mom to take me to Micheaels every other day. It is going to be great to be able to drive. Anyways, I am rambling about things I am sure you don't care about. Grey/navy and red would be awesome!

You might want to check out http://www.americanapparel.net/.  Not cheap (tho' not outrageous either), but it's sweatshop-free, made in the USA clothing.  They have hoodies and a bunch of different styles of long sleeved t-shirts -- all plain.  They also make a limited line of clothing made from organic cotton.
