I used pick-up sticks to knit this cuff/bracelet thing.  They make pretty good size 3 needles!  (I crocheted the flower and sewed it on.)

I make "scarflets" like these with the button. Buttons are so fun, yours is very pretty.

That's cool, Rachel Marie.  Your scarflets are so pretty!  I like your name for them, too.  I just wanted to see if I could knit with the pick-up sticks and that's what I ended up with.  Ha ha!

hehe, that's awesome. I have a store called Gallery141 in Lancaster, Pa and I'm going to start making my own needles to sell. And packaging random things and selling them as needles really cheap, I bought bamboo shishkabob things at the store for like a buck 50 that have two points! There's a million in each package. It's amazing how cheap you can create your own needles for. I'll have to get my hands on some pick up sticks.

You're right, starlagurl!  I fixed it.  I actually typed that as a placeholder until I could think of a better title but totally forgot to change it!  Embarrassed

It seems like everybody I know knows somebody in Lancaster (I'm in VA, by the way), so I might just have to tag along sometime and visit your store!
