heh, signups haven't started yet!

hehe, I just read through all 10 pages. I'm glad I didn't miss it. It will be my first swap.

I have supplies to swap and I can make a poppet for someone.

I though I read every post in the poppet-a-long. I must have missed a page. It seems like each day I sign on there are a few more pages to read.

I think this is a great idea. Now to just finish my Poppet in time for the swap.

i had a thought... what do you think about this?
let's say someone wants to swap for finished items but they also have some supplies. if the best partner for them for finished items doesn't have supplies to swap or the best partner for them with supplies doesn't want to swap finished items or isn't making something compatible what about giving people two partners? or, for this first swap, should we keep it really simple and you sign up for one or the other and you and your partner talk about extras between the two of you?

hmm I think seeing the disparity between a doll and say, one outfit, I'd say that this would have to have very specifically paired sets of partners! Not to say that one outfit can't be awesome but I do think that there should be some kind of balance. So if someone is willing to make a poppet for someone, they can specify "will make one nekkey poppet for: ..." Personally I'd probably want to be paired with someone who would make something for my poppet, kind of like the Pullip swap I'm in. But it's great if people who can't make poppets are able to get one via one of our illustrious poppet makers!!! In any case, I'd keep it simple with one set of partners (and haha, I don't what this 'extra supplies' concept is of yours, my full to the brim craft room defies the use of the phrase 'extra supplies'...they're just not-started projects waiting for attention! Cheesy) and let them work it out from there. Just my two cents. XD

I will tell you that I spend more time on the clothes than on a poppet, to me, the poppet is easier!  I am sure some other people feel the same way.

I have a feeling that one of those people will be me. I bet I'll be willing to trade a Poppet for clothes!

I figured some people might find the Poppet easier or at least you would, Ghilie...given that you're the crazy talented lady who created her Cheesy I think I was just musing overall on the balance part...having partners really be able to say what they'd like to get vs a more general 'oh, anything really' that I often get in the questionairres I've received... Didn't mean to imply anything negative.
