Finally I got around to making a wreath for the holidays..... Here it is. It smells wonderful from the evergreens and the oranges and cinnamon stick I added.

I know it is hanging asymmetrically but it was horrible to hang up, I dd not have any proper tools and basically had to leave my door wide open when I went to my neighbor to borrow a proper hammer.... So what I am saying is I am NOT giving the hanging device with screws and nails another try....

I followed the advice I found on Martha Stewart's hompeage, to use a wire hanger underneath to make it sturdy. I have never done that before but I recommend it. Then I used brown steel wire to attach the evergreens and wrap around the wreath to make it look even. Anyone have any other ideas for how to attach the greenery to a wire base? I saw on the same web page that one can use a styrofoam base, but I am sceptical. Does that work?

Comments much appreciated!

I have never made a wreath so I can't give you any advice, but I do think it turned out beautiful!
I love the oranges, and I like that it's asymmetrical.

I also really like that it's asymmetrical.  I thought you had done it on purpose.

I thought the same thing, I really like it. I wish I could smell it through the computer.

Oh, I see.  Well, I didn't even notice where the peephole was, so I suppose it isn't a huge deal, eh?
