I hope this is the right place to post this.........it's kind of silly, but I had to share.  My girls and I made these last night.  This is something that me and my mom would do every Christmas when I was a kid.  I hadn't done it in forever and thought of it the other day and immediately felt bad for waiting so long to make these with my kids.  My oldest is 16!  Oh well, better now than never.  It took me a little while to find the dollies.  I used to always see them at Wal-Mart, but couldn't this year.  I ended up finding these at Hobby Lobby.  Anyway, it's very simple and a good craft to share with the little ones.  You can't mess this up and they always turn out pretty!  Save the little bits and use them to make larger snowflakes or to dot around the big ones.  I just taped these up to our front door.  They are fun on windows, too.  I hope you enjoy!  This does get messy so have your vacuum ready.......you'll need it when you're done.   Wink

Adorable! I can never get all my creases just right to make "real" paper snowflakes (the kind you have to fold a kajillion times into a cone shape).  These look a lot easier and a heck of a lot prettier!

Thanks everyone!  I guess I thought it was too silly to share because it just seemed silly. lol  So many things here are just so amazing and by such talented people.   I'm not sure where the original idea came from.  This is just something that I remember doing with my mom as early as when I was in elementary school back in the 70's.  This really brings back some special memories for me of Christmas.  I'm glad you liked them!  Both of my girls enjoyed making them......one is 11 and the other is 16.  So this is a wide-range-kid-friendly craft!

These are so pretty....not silly at all. I would like to make some with my 16 year old too. Do you just cut pieces out of paper doilies? Thanks for sharing the idea.
