I couldn't figure out where to post this, so here it is.

My Hubby and I work at the Magic Kingdom and my MIL has collected pins for most of the places hubby has worked (except for the most recent).  For x-mas, we decided to get pins for the current places we work and make a display for them.  First idea was to do a shadowbox, but we needed something unbreakable (they're flying in).  Here's what I came up with-

It's handsewn from a remnant of velvety stretchy material (if I do another one, it will NOT be from that fabric, it was a pain to sew), with a layer of foam in the middle.  I painted a wood dowel and used ribbon to hang it from.  (I can post making of pics if anyone is interested)

This is so cute! What a neat idea for pin displaying. I didn't even know about Disney pins until my Hubby and I went to Disney World last March, I felt so ignorant when I realized how huge they were.

Thanks  Grin
I didn't know anything about pin trading until we were on our honeymoon.  I got addicted to them then, now we live and work there so my collection has exploded.  It's a fun (but gets expensive) hobby.  I'll be doing some more of these to display my own collection.  I've been thinking of other characters to do, too. Stitch for the Stitch pins, scull & crossbones for Pirates, etc.

That is awesome. I mainly collect Nightmare before Christmas and Alice in Wonderland. I must say, I decided to collect the two groups that are so hard to find stuff for!

I might have to steal your idea when I get too many on my lanyard. =)
