Hello Houston Crafters Smiley

Just thought I would let everyone know that the JoAnn store off 45-N is closing, so everything is on sale.
I got a pattern, 2 yards of fabric, and 2 packages of buttons for $5.23.
I'm going to wait to see how far they'll drop the prices. At this point everything was at least 30% off.
All the storage was 40% off, and patterns were $1.99.
So far the only things marked at 50% off were the already marked down fabrics.
One of the ladies told me that they are set to be open till the end of July, or until all the stuff sales.

The physical address is 5576 North Fwy, Hou.TX 77076. It's in Northtown Plaza.

Hope you all find some good things.

Anybody up for meeting at Waldo's Coffee in the Heights for some knitting/crocheting on Sunday night?

I'm pretty new to knitting and would LOVE someone to tell me what in the world I might be doing wrong. . . Plus, my 400 square foot apartment is shrinking while I work.

Another Houston (Cypress, really) person saying Hi!

I have been a long time lurker, but looking to become more active. I really need to find some groups to join. I am a mom of two (3 & 5), full time student trying to get into an MFA program in Graphic Communication at UH and REALLY REALY loving my newly discovered ability to craft!
