Thanks for all of the comments.  Good to know that I'm not the only chronic note jotter/ list maker out there!  I'm not sure about the three rings, but I think it might work for the spiral.  You could use strips of elastic sewn to the inside to hold the covers in place.

You are brilliant!  If you don't mind, I'd like to steal your idea and make some of these myself.

I don't mind at all. If you post them please give me credit though.  I keep thinking of more variations on this idea!

These are adorable! I love them both, but the little rain one is my favorite. Smiley

this rocks (hence I clicked the 'this rocks' button). You have inspired me to make these for my niece and nephews; I had no idea what to make them and this is something I can do!!! Cheesy I think I will add a little loop for a pen or pencil at the top, though. Smiley

These would make a great gift for kids!  They are reusable, fairly quick to make, and you can customize the cover for each individual's personality!

Finally figured out what to make my dad for Hanukkah!!
(good thing too - there aren't many nights left ^^; )
He's always jotting down stuff on crumpled up notebooks - -;

I can't crochet - do you think sewing would work?

And I think the raincloud one is *adorable*  Cheesy
