I can't wait to start one of these! I have a skein of Bearfoot and a Skein of SeaSilk and I think I'll swatch both and see which I like better. Smiley
But for now... back to the last minute Christmas countdown knitting. *ugh*

I'm in!

Well, I'm in once I finish my current Clapotis....

Problem is, all my nice yarn is only 500 to 650 yards...and I'm seriously broke.  Cry

I'm really hoping I get to make this. My dad said he'd buy me the yarn next week, but I have to stay on him to make sure he doesn't flake.
I'm gonna use Pallette in Garnet Heather from knitpicks. I'll definitely be posting here about it. I have a horrible tendency to not finish pattern projects, let alone something this big.

I have yet to take a good picture (been a little rainy/snowy here the last week in GA) but I am about to start on my 3rd and final skein of bearfoot. It probably won't be as long as the pattern calls for, but mom doesn't want it super long....I'm making it for her cause her name is Jean Smiley I've tried to take pictures but it's hard to see its true beauty unblocked, I think.
StoryFromTheStars: I think I started this December 4th or somewhere around in there, and I haven't fully dedicated myself to it, and its going by pretty fast. You learn the pattern fast, at least I did. I haven't looked at the chart in about a ball and a half  Grin Varigated yarn looks awesome with this pattern though because the little dropped stitches are a different color on each row, it looks really cool.

I got my yarn today. It's beautiful, and soft, and it'll look great when I knit it up. I'm currently on the second row, and it does seem like I'm gonna memorize this pretty quickly.

Awesome! What did you end up getting?
++ Oops just saw what you were planning on getting! I used Palette for the Norwegian Stockings and loved it. It was my first time using wool yarn <3

I do love the yarn. I don't really have any problems with splitting, which is really nice, and it moves really nicely on the needles. I'm currently about 3/4 of the way through the first repeat. Hopefully my headache will go away and I can knit more often.
