wow i can't believe the response this is my first thread...

anywayssssss.. to answer the questions..

the designs in these pieces are based on Sailor Jerry stencils, some of them have been traced outright, some have been altered and some have been added to.. for example the Jack Ass one was just a stencil of the donkey, i drew on the lettering and the other background things, same with the rest of the lettering on all of them.

for the shading, none of it is paint or ink, it's all thread..

the donkey is not chain stitch, it's just a small backstitch pilled on top of itself all over.. the lettering is chain stitch..

you guys are awesome! i've never really shown people my work except a couple pieces, so thanks for all the comments...

I'd been wondering recently how Sailor Jerry designs would look as embroideries, and now I have my answer.

You rock so incredibly hard. The detail is just fabulous.

Okay the first one is so insanely awesome.. It's crazy that it is made purely with thread.   The shading is just too good.  I wish I could do that lol.. your work is what I am aspiring to.

And by the way.. I am definetly "Rocking" this!

I'm am completely impressed with your work - the first one resembles old style shading work to a TEEEEEE.  I can't get over how gorgeous it is! I've been staring at my screen for too long now. Please show us more!! This rocks Smiley

You are so talented.  The stitches are crazy perfect... it all looks machine done.  The first time I tried filling in with small backstitches like that I got so much puckering.  I'm in awe of you.

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
