I've seen the caffeine molecule pendants before, cast in silver, but I like your beaded one better. It has more intricacy & texture.

I'd love to make a molecule necklace! Can you give some details on how you made it? I've not quite puzzled it out yet. Yours looks fantastic!

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you and thank-you
, the molecules are inspired from the cast ones, but they were very expensive.... and I had previously bought a coffee cup from the same company with bad results...and I wanted more detail, like the double joints.

Yes, the fortune cookies slide. I was inspired by a metal necklace that is on uncommongoods.com, but was too expensive to buy ;_; .

I'll try do explain as easy as posible but I am not sure I can:
I made them with quill (? tube ?) beads, various metal round beads and used 26 gauge beading wire. I used the wire to make the basic shape and on the double tube I went through the hole twice with the wire, I used clamp beads in some places to hold the bead on. I would have liked to use a thicker gauge of wire because its less prone to snapping but I would have limited the beads I could have used with anything thincker. You have to be very gentle while bending because of this.

What are the fortunes made out of, fimo or real metal?
All of the necklaces are adorable, btw!

yeah, that would be a good one. I actually made it for my girlfreind as an alternative to a "female" symbol.

I love the caffeine molecule! There is a strange beauty in chemistry. I'm not very good at chem (not a good thing in a bio major, uh-oh), but I still appreciate the complex beauty.

I love anything chemistry, sooo.. I love these! Is that even double bonds I see, or am I just imagining that??? Also, very cute fortune cookie necklace, I love that the cookie slides over like that (of course, if I had something like that, I'd constantly be playing with it and doing nothing else, lol)

Actually I am giving one to a bio-chem major. I hope she likes it. But since its right after finals maybe shes sick of molecules... >_<

Thanks, yes those sure are double bonds. The ones that I was inspired by left out the dbl bonds and so thats why I made my own, because the double bonds are important I think.

I believe your's are the first I've seen with double bonds (which are indeed very important)! It adds an extra bit of geekiness I do believe.
