I made many giraffe pillows this spring and recently made a batch of seahorse pillows (which is my excuse for the subject line Wink ). I first carved a seahorse in linoleum and printed it on fabric:


Then I made the pillows:

These are gorgeous! I love seahorses! The contrasting backs are wonderful, I especially love the last one (the button eye is perfect too).

Michela, the block I carved over three evenings. I think that was likely 6 hours or more. Finicky details- but I enjoy it.  Wink

Thank you batgirl- I was pretty pleased with the idea to use the flower to highlight the eye and the button I found, which matched and reminded me of the spoke-like structure of seahorse eyes.  Grin
