May I just say that I am in love with this hat?!    Kiss

I made one in Lion Brand Jiffy in Camel and it was WAY too big.  So it has been lovingly adopted by my dad,... who is a dead ringer for Santa.  So no pics of it yet, but there will be.

More more beautiful,... is the one I made for me, with smaller hooks!!  Now keep in mind that these pictures were taken at 6:30am, BEFORE I had my coffee, and by my 15yo son who is less than at optimum operating levels at that time of the day.  They are not examples of fine photography, giving no justice to the beauteousness of both the colors and the pattern of said hat.  But I LOVE IT!!  And you can click them for up close and personal pics!

Yikes, I look rather, umm, busty in this picture!

Thank you!  I wish I had remembered to turn on the flash for him, because the colors would be better!  Because it is really pretty IRL!

Oh, I'm lovin it! The color is great... I made one a few days ago, and I guess I made it longer, cuz yours looks so much better than the length of mine. Also, I think I used a J hook, I'm wondering if the I would be better. Anyways, great job. Don't you love cables? Smiley

This site has a good explanation of how to cable http://crochet.about.com/library/weekly/aa042603.htm, I only included a brief explanation in the pattern since there are tutorials online that explain it much better than I ever could. Hope this helps!
