I made a rather small tabletop (or windowsill!) Menorah from wool felt, cardboard, a bit of glue a button ... it folds up and buttons shut for the off season. Here is a picture close up and one "in action" (with my son pulling the candle flames off right to left ... almost right, my love!) I made a wee felt pouch to store the flames but we like to leave them all waiting in the white "glow" of the middle candle. The outside of the menorah, when it is folded, has a golden star of David like the one on the menorah. There is a wee bit of sewing but the candles are glued on with craft glue. Watcha think?

This is awesome! The colors are great, and I love the picture of your little one helping. Smiley

What a great idea for a kids project.

Simple and perfect Smiley

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

Well, now! I am glowing! thank you. I want to make more -- they'd be late of course, but they are quick and easy. Fortunately, these holidays come every year.

Love the glow on the shamash!  Grin

Last night we didn't have the proper candles for the menorah, so my mom, last minute, bought some really skinny ones from Whole Foods - they kept flopping around ^^; good thing we had tinfoil underneath!

But geez, this wouldv'e solved all our candle lighting issues!  Wink

i know just what you mean about floppy candles! Still, not sure how true it is to the story ... miracle of not running out of wool felt? Hmmm.

I think it's wonderful.

I could never light candles anyway. CATS!

Happy Hannukah everyone!  Smiley
