Oh my god, I have the same exact dress!! I also got it at a thrift store, as a costume for an 80s themed party. That's so crazy!

I'm addicted to DDR. I need a 12-step program.

Here's a helpful hint: Someone once told me she never cuts patterns out. She uses shoe paper (I'm not sure if that's different from regular tissue paper, which you can get huge squares of in the gift-wrapping section of the store) and traces the pattern and uses that instead. That way she can use the pattern an infinite number of times, and either give it to someone else or sell it at a garage sale.

Although I get the impression this isn't something you're going to be trying again soon, anyway.  Cheesy

Great job! My first thought on seeing the dress was what a beautiful color it was, and then I saw the bigger picture and thought YUCK! You did a great job in turning something awful into something awesome (and cute!).

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

That's way better!

I tried that pattern, too.  However, My attempts are still on my floor, pretending to be something worthwhile.
