Craftster inspired me to do away with the annual waxy chocolate calendars for my 4 kids and do something more special for them.  The reason they got too big was because I decided the pockets needed to be big enough to hold small toys/candies.  Because of their size I needed to hang them on 3 different walls.

They're all essentially the same, so I'll just post one picture.  I reversed the red and green felt for the boys and girls.  I ran out of time and energy with the last 3 calendars so I fabric painted the numbers on Clayton's, Wyatt's and Faith's, which, in hindsight, is how I should've done all of them.  Excuse the wrinkled pocket.

The important thing is the kids are very excited about them.

How did you do the numbers on Maia's?

Hey Fiber People: I am very interested in personal swaps for painted/dyed roving or top. I can swap supplies or crafted items. Let's talk!

I used one of my scrapbooking tools, my Quickutz squeeze, to die cut them out of felt.

Ah, that makes sense. I agree with your decision to fabric paint. Cheesy

I don't know why, but I can't see the picture.  The icon has a little "x"... can you repost it?  Thanks!

littledoe, if you are still around, could you post your advent calendar picture again? It sounds great and I'm looking to make an advent calendar for my 4 year old. I've got only 3 weeks left -- help!

Thanks.
