OMG ... I so want this. My husband is cringing as he anticipates the day my Scion is paid off, because one of two things is probably going to happen: Either A.) I'm going to trade it for a '65 Karmann Ghia, or B.) I'm going to give it a Janis Joplin paint job. After looking at this, I'm definitely leaning toward the latter.

What are you going to do w/ the car? I'm so curious. Will you put an engine in it? Donate it as some one suggested earlier?

that for all the great feedback everybody!

To answer a few questions... i would LOVE to get it up and running one day, but im not sure i have the resources.  For now, i think I'm going to donate the car to our school for it's sculpture garden.  (As pres. of the national art honor society, i get to decide what goes on display Wink ).  If that falls through, i know plenty of public gardens that would love to keep the car.  if its on display in the public, i feel like its going to good use instead of a becoming a waste.

secondly, i used acrylic paint- a LOT of it.  At first, i used house paint mixed with different tints, but it was way too runny and transparent.  I cleaned the car well and just painted right onto it.  Finally, i sealed it with this car spray my dad had in the garage.

p.s: the car survived it's first snowfall today! it was so gorgeous under the blanket of white...
