I started my first sweater yesterday!  I hope it's not too late to join in this KAL.  I'm doing Interweave Knit's Arwen (winter 2006 issue).  I'm making it for my best friend for her birthday (which was a few days ago but I wasnt able to get yarn before).  I'm already about 13 inches into it and lets just say, being that far into it when you haven't worked on it for that many days is a major boost in wanting to keep knitting and finish it.  I'm afraid I'll loose interest in it since alot of it is just stockinette.

I just started my first sweater today. I'm doing the Janda Hoodie from Knit Wit by Amy Singer (I know that theres a copy of the pattern on the knitty site, but the book has more size options and is more detailed.) I subsituted Bernat Satin for the mission falls because I'm allergic to wool. The gauge matches perfectly though so hopefully it will work out!

I cast on the first sleeve about 2 hours ago. I want to do the small pieces first so I feel accomplished before tackling the body lol.

My goal is to finish by the end of June.

I craft so I can avoid reality.....
