I bought this pattern and some cheap flannel at Wallyworld because I too had to make this gorgeous coat.  I saw the Little Mermaid fabric there, but didn't have the guts to use that too Smiley  I did choose another cotton though since you showed that you could use cotton instead of regular lining fabric Smiley

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.

Well, the sleeves are not that warm...but that's because I got lazy and didn't line them, like I was supposed to. But I'm going to make another one that's lined with fur and then the sleeves are going to be lined with thermal. But I have to find some thermal that isn't like a million dollars a yard. Jeez it's expensive. But otherwise, it's pretty warm. And it's hard to make something that's cute and warm. Actually it's just hard to make something that's warm at all.

it would be cute if you added some beltloops to the side of it and then used extra fabric to fashion a belt to tie it off.

coat looks great!;)
