I have a black thumb when it comes to Poinsettias I had one for three days before we found it wilted, lying over the side of the pot.(I don't know what I did to it) So I decided to make my version of it, crochet style. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I didn't use a pattern, I just made it  up as I went , but heres what I did:

G hook
1.  ch 7
2.  sc 2nd ch from hook across ch 1
3.  sc across ch 1 for 7 rows
4.  sc dec, then sc across to lst 2 st do sc dec
5.  cont to rpt row 4 until you have no stitches left fasten off.
6.  I made 5 petals
7.  I just pinched the edges together of each petal and sewed them together. Glued on sequins.  Enjoy.

Now that's my kind of poinsettia--one I can't kill! Lol!  It's beautiful, you do great work.

I think it looks great!  I don't do poinsettias either, because they're poisonous for cats.
I should make some of these to hang over my apartment door - our building is CRAZY for holiday decorating, and I feel like a total jerk for not doing anything.

Very nice. I love crocheting Christmas ornaments. What did you use for the center? (nevermind, just read the pattern you added, lol)
