Here is my favorite thing I've crafted for Christmas thus far. It is going to belong to my 6 year old lil sister, who after seeing what a scoodie was and spying some hot pink fur in my stash insisted that a scoodie would "rock" with a Mohawk! I used some vintage paisley fabric for the outside (snagged from Grandma's stash) and some rainbow fleece. I also hand appliqued the girly skull on the scarf. So without further ado "the punk rock scoodie" as modeled by my lovely primate friend Sweetheart. [/img][/img]
I had to add a picture of my adorable sister after she recieved her punk rock scoodie. She wore it most of the day! Without further ado my little punk rock sister!

a scoodie is a hood with a scarf attached to it instead of a hat and scarf you only have one item to worry about losing!

I want to make myself one now with a mohawk, but the hubby says he won't be seen with me if I wear it! LOL good way to get to go places without him I guess  Wink

Feel free to use the idea. What I did to make the mohawk come out right is I made a template of the hood shape like suggested in the tute for the scoodie that is on here, only I made mine a bit smaller then I made a 4 inch wide strip and sewed the two pieces of the hood with the strip in the middle. This makes a perfect place for the mohawk and also makes the hood lay nicely without the conehead affect. For the mohawk I just cut the strip of fur and used a zig zag stitch to sew it on. To get it to stand up nice I combed and hairsprayed it also. I then just followed the rest of the tute only I made my scarf wider than 4 inches, mine is 6. Enjoy and I'd love to see other mohawk scoodies posted if anyone makes them.
