Thanks so much for sharing, what a cute idea, I decided to make one for my sister, she is the only other real knitter I know, I used Styrofoam balls and bamboo skewers

As soon as I saw this post I had to make one :-) Thank you so much! It was a great gift for my MIL. I used bamboo skewers for the needles too.. and glued pretty beads on the tops of them.

for a crochet hook take a matchstick or skewer and cut away a wee corner to form the hook. Im pretty sure that would work.
