where does one get umbrellas? These are so cute. I wonder how hard it would be to make a crochet hook out of one.

Those are awesome!  I love them!.  I think I may make a few yarn balls for my friend - but maybe do a couple with Fimo cats or a small cat toy playing on them because she loves her cat more than knitting!

For that matter, what about making crochet ones for yourself, but making the crochet hooks out of Fimo, or bent wire, or something like that?

Love it. My toddler has taken some of the styrofoam ball ornaments wrapped in thread and undid them. So now I have a few spare styrofoam balls that need and new look.

I just made something similar for an xmas ornament swap. I used one of those Styrofoam balls and a real crochet hook.
