I gave this one a shot, thoughtfully modeled by my Creature!  I still need to wash and block it, but I like it!  I have a small head so I think I will do it again with a smaller hook for a better fit.  All images are clickable!

Wow!  Looks great!  I love BonBon RHSS and Babysoft in Bubblegum is pratically a staple stash yarn for me.  I made another of the round granny hats, using hdcs for the first round and it makes the individual squares much less rounded at the edges.  I will post pictures later.
