Okay, I have been lurking here for a while now, commenting here and there on everybody's amazing craftsmanship. So, it is with some hesitancy that I now share one of my projects with the likes of you guys. Here goes!

I made these backpacks for Christmas for two tween girls in my family. They were fairly easy to make, considering that I've never made any bags/purses before. (my sewing experience consists of clothing and quilts)I used a McCalls pattern, (the number escapes me now...) and followed it pretty much to the letter.

Anyway, please let me know what you think!

These are so adorable!  I know your kids will love them.  I've considered trying this pattern before but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  I'm glad to know it's one worth trying.  Fabulous bags!!!
