Here is a stocking I made for my husband.  I made the mistake of not putting interfacing on the back side of the linen.  The back has green corderoy.  I had planned on putting some sort of piping on but I got lazy/sick of working on it.



I don't know if you can tell but the candles and their flames on the xmas tree are beads.

Thanks everyone!  It took me about 6 months of steady solid stitching, and another 6 months to get the courage up to make it into a stocking.  The design is called "Dragons by the fire" by Black swan designs.  It only came as a chart.  I had to gather all the floss, fabric, beads and metallic threads myself. (Which is dangerous because you always see something else you've gotta have!)

Beautiful finish and congratulations to your husband to have such a great stocking! I've seen this stitched before and that is the best finishing job that I have seen on it. BTW I have NEVER seen this one with piping on the edges. Guess this is just a piece that just isn't meant to have it.
