Hi!
I've decided that for Christmas I would like to give my best friend a box full of memories and I was thinking I would make a music box.  When I was little, my dad used to take the music pieces out of music boxes and place them in a box he had made himself. I'm OK with learning how to do that, but what I would really like is to have the box play  a melody from Sailor moon. Is there anyway that I could make my own music piece to place in the box?

Thanks!

The little wind up with a turning barrel & pins type music box? probably not. A small electronic thing that you can record the music onto? definately- try Radio Shack : )

Oh, there are, I got a catalog from one once. They start at about $1000 US & go up from there.....
I was assuming she wasn't planning on spending a grand on this gift...

I did end up finding a small recording device on the radioshack website. It should work dandy for the project.
The only problem is it only plays 20 sec of recorded audio and the whole melody I wanted to play lasts 33 seconds :/  I'm slightly contemplating sewing a plush version of the star locket from sailor moon that plays the melody and putting a voice box in it.
