I really like yiur entry, not only that your end product is really awesome, although the thing you started with was really ugly!

Very cool!  Definitely a conversation piece.

I'm addicted to DDR. I need a 12-step program.

Hmm, see my previous comment...

Sounds like your questionably better half has no sense of humor! I mean, really, who wouldn't love to have their very own one-eyed flying purple people eater?  Huh And a practical one at that! Throw in the fact that it was made by a loved one, and you have to wonder just how much your better half really appreciates you. Yeesh. Please tell me your other crafty endeavors are greeted with more enthusiasm than this one!

And on a happier note, I can honestly say this is the only ottoman I've ever seen that I want to give a big hug (while at the same time avoiding its teeth!). Maybe you should sic him on anyone who doesn't immediately fall in love with him.   Grin

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

You shouldn't have to give it away just because your other half doesn't like it.  How silly!

If you love it, then keep it Smiley  You obviously put a lot of time and energy into it Smiley

Really, it rocks!  I can't imagine anyone not wanting one Smiley

Best use of purple fur I've seen all year!  Haha, no seriously this is such a fun refurb, I love it.

I would love to do some personal swaps.
I'm looking for handmade soaps, jewelry, and knit legwarmers/socks.
pm me if I can sew something for you!

I do believe that my Grandmother had that exact same ugly green ottoman. I love the purple people eater!! I bet it gets a lot of laughs!
