That is just splendid.  Also, in a spectacular bit of serendipity, right as I clicked on this post, the R.E.M/Sesame Street song "Furry Happy Monsters" came on my playlist.  I'm diggin' it.

Love this!  I'm sending a link to my friend, who dyed herself purple and was a One-Eyed One-Horned Flying Purple People Eater for Halloween this year.

HOLY CRAP. Who knew I would have this kind of reaction from this project. I mean, one can always hope, but no one ever really knows. lol. Guess I better answer some questions. Her goes.

You going to take pictures of the original owners face when you show it to them ?

No can do. The original owner is no longer with the living. But for some reason, I can feel her rolling in her crave.

and where might I ask did you find such a HUGE googly eye???

I actually got the biggest eye that Walmart had to offer. It just looks bigger with the black and white felt background.

How exactly did you attach the purple "fur"? With an upholstery stapler?

Actually, that is exactly how I attached it. Although the lid fabric had to use an air stapler (longer staples) to get through the extra thick padding and still have enough to bite into the wood

As much as I love this thing, my better half (better is debatable) is NOT very enthused about it. Anyone have a room up for rent to a crafty mother f-----? I cook, I clean, I have a job, and I ...... service. lol  Actually, I may have a new home for the furry guy if things don't work out. A coworker has a daughter who would love it. The only thing I am worried about there is the face and wings. I'm not sure they would last with a 4 year old. Gluing felt to fur isn't very permanent. Any other suggestions to remedy that? Just in case the guy does go up for adoption.
