I think there might have even been something else in there, but my mind escapes me.
I put a lot of effort and funds into this swap and it really hurts that both my partner and the organizer have flaked. Sad

Sarah

I know what you mean Sarah, this being my first swap I was really looking forward to hearing how my partner liked her items but she fell of the face of the earth. For me it was right around the same time she was going to receive her package as well. Ack what an ego blow! lol I just have to think it must have been something out of their control. Perhaps they lost internet access, or something in the 'real world' happened that has kept them away.

Cyndall your partner flaked?? BUt she has good f/b for this swap?

Edit: Oh I see you received, but she disappeared Sad  I'm 100% sure it's nothing to do with your package Sad  I'm sorry though, it's really nice to see you hard work posted.

Did you take pics?  I would love to see your package Smiley

It really sounds like you worked hard on your package Sarah! I hope someone can send you a package that will equal your efforts, because it is obvious you really went all out!

I know what you mean Sarah, this being my first swap I was really looking forward to hearing how my partner liked her items but she fell of the face of the earth. Cyndall - I think that you did a great job on your package! It is hard to say what happens that make people flake - and although I do know that sometimes there are good reasons, it is just not right to fail to let your swap partners know what happened! Somehow! Even if you have to ask a friend to do it for you!

My partner's MIA, so I'll post pics of what I sent her..

She requested an altar kit, based around a theme of femininity, love, and sensuality.

So I sent her an altar cloth, candle holders, candles, a bag for tarot cards or stones, a tin for storing incense, a necklace, a handmade blank book for spells or whathaveyou (not handmade by me though), some chocolates, and a little bottle of fairy dust, just for fun.

Some group shots:

The altar cloth is bordered in this fantastic shimmery fabric that isn't nearly as pretty in the photos as it is in person. There aren't any photos of the candles, because they turned out rather badly.  I couldn't bring myself to try and make prettier ones though, after I got melted wax all over my kitchen the first time..

I liked the little velvet bag so much I'm planning on making one for myself - the textures just send me for some reason.

She said she liked fairies, so I made her a little bottle of fairy dust with a sparkly top, just for fun.

Glass candle holders, with the bottoms painted:

A tin decoupaged with sensual fairy and sort-of pinup style pictures (with sort of an elemental theme), with different kinds of incense inside.  I love the way this turned out - the decoupaging is so smooth, and the whole thing looked really professsional.  Not to mention those pics are smokin' hot.

And lastly, the necklace made with amethyst and clear quartz beads:

I'm so mad that I missed this swap.  I hope there is another round soon!  All of your Pagan/Witch stuff is amazing!  Nice job. Wink

I love the altar cloth and the incense holder is awesome! But I really like the velvet bag too - hard to pick a favorite!

Slightly off-topic, just sharing a link to a 10-minute recording of Shamanic drumming I've found out recently :

Very helpful for meditation.
