This is my first time posting  Cheesy
This is a old fashion rocking chair for a kid that I got from second-hand store for $20. It has a yellow music box attached to the bottom of the chair so when you rock on it, it turns to music box and starts to play music. It's really neat!
When I saw the challenge I already make a few changes to the chair, so the follow picture is my attempt to recreate the original chair via photoshop

So I cut off the arms of the chair, removed the music box and attached a 1''x1'' shaft to the chair.

I sanded the chair, stained the chair to a darker color, put a finishing coat on it, then I started painting details onto the chair
This is after staining and painting:

You can see that I drilled a hole on the 1''x1'' so that later on I can attach handle for the rocking chair. Also if you looking at the bottom of the chair where the music box was, I attached the music box component (without the box yet).

This picture is the final product:

I painted the front of the back rest "blow pop"

And I painted the back of the back rest "reese's"

A shot of the music box that I finished painting "wonka bar" and put on the chair

Close up:

I hope you guys liked it. This project is all about my obsession with candy. I had so much fun making this project. The music box works perfectly and It's so cute. I'm planning on giving this to my bf's niece but my roommate says that I should keep it for when I have a kid ... lol
Thanks for looking  Grin

Yeah, the idea is a rocking horse exactly. The tootsie roll is made kinda like a plush sock that slip right onto the wooden shaft. You (or a kid) can rock by holding onto the handles or the tootsie roll Wink

lol ... many people have commented on that, though it wasn't my intention... I guess you just have to look at it through a child's eye and everything will be fine Tongue
