yesterday I saw 2 girls in this adorable poncho!  and I kept stairing at it trying to figure out if I could make up a pattern for it, but I'm not that advanced yet.  has anyone seen a similar pattern somewhere that would just need a little tweaking?

Have you ever made diagonal dishcloths?  They start from the corner instead of a side.  I think it might be easier for you to make a rectangle like that, with a modified cable like Trellis (but instead of moss/seed st in the middle, just purl), then later go back and pick up the edging and collar.

I've spent a lot of time looking at caplet's and ponchos but have found nothing really close to that one.  I hope someone else has more success.

did you find anything close to the same shape or size?  even just something the same size w/ a collar would help! Smiley  I have yet to find anything similar myself. but if I do I'll post about it. Smiley
thanks
