I'm going to a party on Friday and we have to bring a $10 grab bag gift. Last year I made a record bowl and a bracelet, but this year I don't know what to make. Any ideas?

if you can ensure that it'll go to a girl, some bath stuff would be nice (milk bath can be as simple as dried milk and a couple drops of vanilla extract or essential oil put in a pretty jar).  you can put it in a basket with a candle and a small bottle of lotion.

if it's gotta be unisex, a rice bag is always a hit, especially as it gets colder, I like to make mine out of inexpensive holiday-themed (snowflakes and snowmen are nondenominational) dish towels.  you can throw in some spices to make it really nice.

Last year for work I made Steelers ornaments (we're in Pittsburgh, obviously).  I've made other kinds in years past for other people too, so you could do snowflakes or anything, really!  I make them from clear ornaments, fabric (with pictures smaller than 2 inches) and decopauge.  Cut out the picture from the facric and decopauge it to the ornament (for Steelers I do the helmet on one side and Steelers on the other).  Tie a ribbon to hang and you're done!

This is off subject... but what is a record bowl and how do you make one?
If it is made from a record, that could be a great gift for my brother in law.

Yes it's made from a record.
