I love making atc's and journals, so I was intrigued by inchies. I just had to take a stab at these tiny little pieces of art.

First, I made a background. I used some text from an old Spanish book (thanks, katxena!), some stamps, and lots of paint and mod podge and ink. Here's what I ended up with:

I cut the finished background up into one inch squares, and then my little surfaces ready to go:

Finally, I added tiny pictures and some type, and voila! Here's my first set! I won't be leaving the ones with no photo on them this way. For now, they are just fillers because I'm dying to post.  Cheesy

Ultimately, I'll make different backgrounds that coordinate with these and have a huge set. I'd like to work up to 100, mix them all up, and then frame them in one of those 12" by 12" frames they make for scrapbook pages. For my next color, I think I'll go limey green.  Smiley

EDIT: Here's my latest batch:

Wow oh wow! Those look phenomenal! I've GOT to try them now!
I love all the stamps you used on the background especially the squares with the numbers in them.

I like that stamp, too. It came in a set of "games" stamps.

You would love doing this, babs. It's fun, and once you get going, it goes quicker than you'd think.
