Eliea,

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for or if it will be helpful, but when I learned how to crochet using patterns in a diagram rather than in written form, I found things easier to follow.

Maybe the best way to illustrate the pattern would be to draw a simple rectangle for the scarf, and its appropriate measurements.  Then alongside that, you could sketch out one motif or pattern repeat using the appropriate crochet symbols.

Check out this site http://grannys-garret.com/symbol_crochet/symbol_crochet.html to see what I'm on about. Each symbol is explained from the chain stitch through to the triple crochet.

Good luck with the submission! Smiley

that might work. I don't want to give away what I did but that might be the easiest way to do it. Hummm. Thanks for the tip!

They don't say anything about pets...I have some patterns, easy-to-do, quick, but they're geared for gifts for dogs.  I've never tried to get anything published.  Maybe I'll submit one and just see what happens?

You received a postcard? Hmm.

I sent mine a few days before deadline and haven't heard anything yet.

It took about 3 weeks for the postcard to get here. Give it some more time.
