I have to admit that now that my knitting skills are getting better, I've been going for more wool than acrylic.

That said, my experience with 'finer' yarns isn't extensive but the ones that I've loved so far are Jo Ann's tesoro (no longer available), Moda Dea's Washable Wool and Gems Opal sock yarn.

For me, acrylics still have their place and most aren't bad to work with and have the advantage of being virtually indestructible.

I'm kind of heart broken that Tesoro isn't available because I really enjoyed working with it. Thankfully, I still have some in my stash....

mmm... Bunny...

I think I even have the ball band in my purse right now... my absolute favourite (of the moment!) is Tahki Bunny (http://www.yarndex.com/yarn.cfm?yarn_id=716) by Stacy Charles.  it is deliciously soft and delightful to work with... so plump and fuzzy... and a marvelous blend of merino and alpaca

I seriously hardly want to work with anything else!  (if only my budget would permit such indulgences!)
