You designed the pattern? It looks great- and I love that fabric! The buttons are great contrast!!

yeah i designed the pattern.

i found a skirt i loved on style.com (can't remember which fall runway show it was from though) and i just sort of winged it. i know a little about how patterns work buti haven't used one in years. i took a LOT of measurements and tweaked them until i got it right...i drew it all out right on the fabric according to my measurements and how i wanted its shape to be. added pleats. and sewed on the wide waist band and buttons.

thanks for the compliment! i've been looking for something to use those buttons for for a while now. this pussy willow fabric seemed perfect. there is a little bit of that blue/turquoise color in the fabric but its a much paler version of it.
