I'm in Hollister, near Branson and just wodered if there is anyone else here from this area?  I crochet, knit and quilt and it drives me nuts to have to go to Springfield whenever I want to find a decent selection of supplies.

I am in Branson and I have to agree.  Branson leaves alot to the common everyday shopping.  I can't find a bookstore either.  I have to buy craft books!  It seems like forever to get to Springfield.

Hi Neighbor!
The only bookstore that I know of in Branson is the used bookstore.  I'll have to check out their craft books and see what's there.  I agree, tho'.....Branson needs a bookstore, a JoAnn's, a yarn shop, and quilt store that's NOT geared to the tourist trade. Walmart's yarn and pattern book selection really sucks.

BTW, what kind of crafts are you into?  And how long have you been in Branson?

Clavin's bookstore right off of the strip near dixie stampede is the absolute best bookstore in town! As far as craft supplies go, check out the numerous thrift stores.

Hi, Bransonites!  I'll be vacationing near Branson this summer (my parents' idea -- don't ask), and I'd love to hear about these thrift stores!  Actually, I'd love to hear about anything in or around Branson that isn't the standard tourist trap. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!
