Made this little kitchen linen set for my former m-i-l, because we all need a hot dish now and again.

The dish towel is a flour sack towel, doubled and sewn around all 4 sides then appliqud the dude on.

The hot pad is sewn on to Insulbrite (that insulated, silver-on-one-side, quilted stuff).

And... the ubiquitous shot of The Mistress T's Studio Assistant.

The only thing I had to buy for this project (bottom photo) was the fusible interfacing, because for some reason all the stuff I had was black: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=195457.msg2063349#msg2063349

Those are awesome!  Where did you get the pictures!  I can totally think of someone I could make something like that for!

Thanks! It's Alexander Henry fabric called "Heavy Equipment".  It also comes in a dark blue background (maybe other colors, too).  I bought it at Fabric Depot's store, but they also have a web presence.

I work in construction, and threatened to make couch cushions for the main office out of this fabric.  Grin

I'd seriously consider becoming a chef if these guys were my kitchen assistants. Cheesy  Great idea!
