So, here it is, December 26th (Boxing Day here in Canada!) and I just realized that I haven't even looked at the gallery for this swap.  So, I looked through all 3 pages (yeah, it was hard to see Dulcinea's feet so many times in such a few pages  Grin ) and realized the item I sent to gatheredthreads wasn't posted yet and I decided to do so.

She wanted something to celebrate her new first name, which she recently officially changed.  What better than a book mark - not only will it remind her what page she's on while reading, it will also remind her of her new name, just in case she forgets  Grin

I received two fantastic pillow covers from la_chrystelle last week.  I've decided to decorate my new bedroom in black and white and these pillows are perfect.  They're presently living on my bed until I get my new loveseat in January.  Thanks so much Saskia, I love them

P.S.  Look!  Stroopwaffels too!  Yum!

I'm so sorry that I forgot to post pics!  I tucked the bookmark in my book when it first arrived, to keep it safe.  And, well, I haven't exactly read lately with all the Christmas madness going on around here  Cheesy

I do love it, Homerof2, it is beautiful!  Once the holidays are over I'll be using it daily again  Wink

I received these  placemats from farmgirljane:

She embroidered the flowers on each one. It must have taken such a long time-you did such a beautiful job Jane.  I know my mom will love these! Thank you so much!

Those placemats are so cute! I love the flowers, they look very Mary Englebreit-ish! And the bookmark is awesome too!

I got my package from Grieney! She made me a fabulous crochet hook roll and the coolest polymer clay hooks! I think I like the ladybug one the best, but it's a close call! She also sent a knit hat that actually fits over my ears, which I have needed for awhile, and some sock weight yarn! Thanks so much Grieney!

soon enough, I'll get the hand and be spinning yarn, yes - at least, i hope so!

and the sock?  easy.  seriously - and i've been afraid of sock forever.... i used the international sock of doom pattern, and ignored the rib of doom - just did straight stockinette stitch so the self-patterning pattern would come through.  the heel (which i think is the scariest part until you do it) was appallingly easy!

LOL, and after eBay and the raid on the yarn store the other day, i have enough yarn to make a bunch more pairs of socks <snicker>

i'm so hooked - there's nothing like a pair of wool socks...  store bought ones don't even come close!
