Godeys Ladies Book (In later years it was Godeys Ladies Magazine)!!!  Ebay has them frequently just type in Godeys and they will come up.  They were like the victorian Vogue Magazine of the day.  Petersons Magazines are great too.  You can usually get these pretty inexpensively and all years 1830-1890s are welcome !!  I paid anywhere from $4-$9 for the few I have.  Dont worry duplicates are fine.

-For seamstresses... I have a  non-traditional wedding to attend in early March for which I need to make a dress (help; I've never worn dresses let alone made them, although I can sew!) I'm a US sz 6 (pear shaped similar to Kelly Clarkson) and want to wear green/teal. Anything to help me with this project would be so appreciated... a pattern you've drafted yourself (on muslin would be brilliant), packet patterns, fabric etc.

generic sewing machine needles,
extra strong sewing thread,
1.5" (or wider) bias binding,
5 to 12 inch zippers in all colours,
corduroy fabric in black or green.

-Relaxation things; an oil burner (lamp ring or freestanding type) and/or oil. I like soothing scents like rose.

-FQ+ of fabric with owls on (not too girly/childish but cute is ok )

Me.. I sew lots but also bake, make jewellery and crochet. Thrifted/vintage things are always welcome at my house!
My loves: green, grey, neutrals, blue, brown, cable-knit, space saving/storage devices, retro-ness like old school Nintendo, hints of Victorian Gothicism like black flowers.
My hates: Stuffies/amigurumi (I just don't have the room for them ), bright/neon colours, sequins, bling, shiny polyester, plastic, insects.
