A bag!
I am going to a music camp and will need a secure bag to carry around my essentials. Maybe like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=178244.0 in a nice vintage fabric? (matching purse wouldnt hurt!) Or anything that you feel comfortable making that is around the same size and that zips up, that bit it important.

A purse.
I really like the ones made of of food/drinks packages, one of those would be great! Something like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=163084.0

A singlet/tank top.
Do anything you want to it, stencil, applique (sp?!), rip it up and sew it back together, whatever it is you do. I really like those bleached ones with the skeleton on them? Message me for other ideas!

Candy.
I love candy, especially stuff from another country.

Grey fingerless gloves.

Headbands.
Im growing my hair out, and some headbands would be a great change on the stumpy ponytail I usually have.

A surprise!
Im easy to please! See below for ideas!

ABOUT ME!
My names Tiv, Im a seventeen year old girl living in New Zealand. I like making stuffies, and Im slowly learning how to sew more things. Im not much of a fan of jewellery or pictures frames (though I did get an AWESOME one in another swap) or other decorative stuff, so please none of that 'as I wouldnt be able to appreciate it properly. I really love colour, bright yellow is my favourite! Im a bit of a punk chick though Ive got a really soft side too (don't let my friends know though!). Umm, I like spiders and fairys and also scorpions are really cool too!
Thanks heaps to anyone who choses me!

I claim cardigan for a bag for music camp.

This is my first claim this round.  I live in Maryland, but am originally from Georgia so the snow flurries this morning kind of freaked me out.

- Woolen sweaters - 'dry clean only' so they full really well.  No size restrictions.

- BIG WISH - feltable wool yarn in non-neon colors (can you tell my washer gets a workout?) I need three skeins that look nice together.

- A copy of Stitch 'n' Bitch and knitting needles, because I just can't bring myself to bribe Dulcinea any more.  Grin I bought myself SnB, but some bamboo needles other than size 10 would be nice!

 - A pair of mitten/gloves - the kind where the top mitten part folds back

- An amigurumi beagle! Really, anything beagle related.  Mine is my only child, after all. A Snoopy shirt would be awesome.

- HUGE WISH! A tshirt or sweatshirt with the Nancy Drew silhouette from the older hardbacks

  - funky silk screened or embroidered or handpainted or whatever t-shirts or hoodies, or heck, sweatpants as long as I'm not going to sit on your efforts. Thanks Bigmouth! (I could always use more)

 - something inspired by comic books - clothes, tote bag, etc.  I'm a big fan of the greats - Batman, Supes, Spidey.  Same goes for cello or classical music stuff.

 - hardcover books with colorful fronts (no jacketed ones, please).

 - old vinyl records small 45s or the larger ones are good

  - posters or cards of those older European advertisements with bright colors http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Cognac-Monnet_i404819_.htm?aid=246987

 - Easy-to-crochet-with yarn.  I like the chunky kind, because it goes so fast! Nothing eyelashy please.

 - Looking to get rid of those yarn bits left over from projects? If they're at least a foot long you can send them to me.

 - 12"x12" flannel squares - I keep telling myself I need to make some Project Linus quilts, so maybe if I get some precut squares I'll actually do it

- A magic yarn ball!

- zippers, buttons, belt buckles, purse handles

 - For my man, small GI Joe or similar size figures to customize (the 3-3/4" kind).  He customized a figure to look like me! What crafty kids we would have.

- For my son, Jake T. Beagle, some stuffed animals to chew on and maybe some doggie treats (you've got your kids, I've got mine and he's always hungry, hehe)

 - And always, the wist at the bottom.

Other things about me: I am a flitting crafter.  I try something, conquer and move on, but always love to go back! I sew, quilt, crochet and throw pottery when I can find a class.  Also have the random education of an engineering degree with a minor in classical studies, so I work in construction and play cello.  Whatever pays the bills, right? Have a boyfriend and we share a beagle who basically owns the house.  Thanks in advance for picking me!

I love long skirts, long coats, embellished jeans, hoodies, and boots (I love boots!  I own over 30 pairs!)   I love white, black and red.  Not into pastels or frills!  My tastes vary from day-to-day.  Drives the husband crazy when it is gift buying time.  One day I'm extremely funky, the next very elegant.  Never know... So, wish list changes, ALOT!  But  my wist gives you a pretty good idea of my varied likes.

**Civil War Era Cape called a Mathilde Mantilla (Think of a Civil War era Poncho.  This is basically what it is)  Here is a link to the pattern http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ehag/godey/images/s5902170.jpg  and here is an example of what it looks like http://www.thegracefullady.com/civilwargowns/ready-mades_silkmantle.htm Measurements will be provided.  Wool blend or Corduroy would be great. Hood is decrotive and is not functional. It only uses around 3 yards.  I would also prefer it lined for warmth. It would be great if I could retain the pattern as well for future projects.  (I can sew I just cant figure out how to make it <frown>) without a predrafted pattern.  OR If someone with any drafting skills wouldnt mind drafting a pattern to my size I could play around with it and make my own (If I have a pattern to work with)

Knitting and Crocheted Items
Knitted scarf in Black (I cant knit yet be envy those who can)

Crocheted Victorian Reticule like this one http://www.knitheaven.com/vintagepatterns/23_LADYS_RETICULE_CROCHET.htm

Knitted sleeve cuffs http://www.spunmag.com/article/050410cuffs

I love this shawl and am willing to wait longer if anyone will make it for me. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilWarShawlKAL/  Im not picky about color.  Would be just happy to even have one.

A Nubia (Civil War Knitted Scarf). Red or Heather Gray would be lovely.  Im not sure if the link will take you directly there.  http://www.raggedsoldier.com/  If it doesnt Click on Needlework Necessities and Novelties and go to knitting patterns.

Sewn Items
Handwarmers like the ones offered at Hot Topic. Victorian Goth ones would be perfect.

Tote bag (I really need one of these lol)
Crazy Quilted Purse
Victorian capelet.  At least waist length please email for length.
Regency or Victorian era Reticule
Petticoat either knee or ankle length !!  (Im 5'5 email for length)

Im always needing thread for sewing and this always stays on my list.  The more the merrier and gently used is welcomed too !!

2 yard lengths of eyelet trims and any color is welcome !!

Patterned Ribbons is also welcomed too (again another one of my standbys lol)!!

Crafted Items

Bars of handmade soap (the kind that is made from lye).  I have always wanted to try it!!  Lavender, oatmeal, goats milk, citrus are great however any scents are welcome!!  Or soap supplies as I would love to learn how to make my own. Premade bars are appreciated as I have young children and am concerned with having lye in the house.

Ive always been curious about those soap bombs.  My kids would probally love them !!  Also jars of bath salts would be fantasic as well.

A beaded Victorian Choker would be lovely.

I collect cookbooks from the victorian and ewardian eras !!  Or earlier if you can find them.

Vintage Sewing Patterns!!  36 Bust is perfect.
Im especially trying to find a Jumper from 1948(?) Simplicity 2705.

Candles are great too.  Prefer either fruit and or spice scented ones or lavender (only floral scented one I like)

I claim frosty772 for homemade soap (the kind made with lye) - some oatmeal soap, and probably something else (have to see what I have)

this is my first claim this round, and I'm in wisconsin.

wish list (really big wishes in bold red)!

KNITTED AND CROCHETED THINGS:

a satchel bag like this http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTsatchel.html  (bright colors, use up all your felting colors?)

Purple and white, thick gloves (not mittens, please) or fingerless mitts in purple - I had gotten a pair of gloves that appear to be out of something similar to peaches n cream, in purple and white stripes, and one got lost.... and I could really use something to keep my hands warm for the wisconsin winters!

An earflap hat for my son - he actually wants one - PM me for color and style, I have a bunch of patterns bookmarked

OR

a superlong stocking cap - I found this pattern for one, I"m thinking one that's long enough to wrap around your neck like a scarf?  http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/fiber_arts/105304

this felted backgammon board (or something similar)  http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5311864,00.html

i love this felted bag - http://www.talklikeapirate.com/knitlikeapirate.html

Hand knitted socks - I heard they're not too terribly time consuming... (and myh son says he'd like socks too, if someone was inclined to make them for him)

the felted monster slippers in the SNB book?

SEWN THINGS:
a flamenco skirt like this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=3905.msg29436#msg29436

a corset top - the kind with the mini-hooks up the front?  I have one, and i love it, would love another one!

6" pieced squares for my craftster quilt - I'd prefer they not be plain 6" squares of fabric, but the pieced ones?

can anyone figure out how to make a shrug jacket like this?  I LOVE this jacket, but this is the only picture I have of it
http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea/7e8bc1ec576c4d291d9c7cd844f89887?offset=40

another big wish - the pants from Burda Pattern number 8316 - they're a pair of pants that I love - view A (long, not crops) in the smallest size (and we can talk about sizing) (I can provide pattern and fabric, I just need someone who's a better sewer than I to actually make 'em)

I love this corset top - can even send the fabric for it!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=127920.msg1283107#msg1283107

this skirt - anyone think they can find a pattern and make one?  it doesn't need to be so long... mid-calf would be perfect
http://www.shukronline.com/wt3601.html

If anyone loves to sew, I love this skirt!  would love a soft drapey sort of fabric
http://www.garnethill.com/jump.jsp?itemID=12386&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C4477%2C9140%2C9143&iProductID=12386

a shirt like this, but long enough to tuck in - PM for sizing, please
http://www.kambriel.com/topwhite.html

Amy Butler Weekender bag

i love the idea of this comic book clutch... anyone want to give it a try?
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=83488.50

SUPPLIES:

Sock yarn in a fun colorway, and a sock pattern - i WILL learn to make socks!!

hand-spun yarn

hand dyed yarn - DK, sock or Lace weight

bare yarn, so that i can dye it, in DK or fingering weight <-- poerava claimed me for some, but I'm a yarn addict!!

crafting supplies:
  • soap making supplies - coconut oil, a soap making box mold
  • chunky weight wool - it's not like thick n quick, and it's not  like regular wool - it's somewhere in between, with a gauge of about 3-4 st. / 1 inch on about #8-10 needles...  anyway, in white, dark blue, forest green, deep purple, chocolate brown, something like that?
  • felting wool - i have a couple of projects that need felting wool, especially greens, purples, reds, both worsted weight and bulky weight - it can be undyed, and i can dye it myself

OTHER CRAFTED STUFF:

someone made me this bag - and it unfortunately met with a disaster... so i'd love a new one?
http://www.ecoist.com/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=11&idproduct=451

a yarn cozy like this?  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21691.msg176577#msg176577

stained glass pendant or bracelet, especially if it was dragonfly or butterfly or iris

home-crafted body balms or body butter

i've seen these record notebooks - anyone think they can make these?  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=160934.msg1623605#msg1623605 <--- thank you k8kre8s - son wants one now, too!

Knitting and crocheting books - if one of these is just taking up space, I'd love to get a copy:
  • Twinkle's Big City Knits: 31 Chunky-Chic Designs
  • Knit with Beads: Stunning Shawls and Wraps: Easy Techniques, 15 Beautiful Designs

DIY kits:
  • drop spindle spinning
  • body butter

Whatever you're really good at - my wist, and my list, are a good indication of the sort of things I like - if there's something you're really good at, and you think I might like it, feel free to plan a surprise - truly, when people make things in friendship, they're received that way, too

something inspired by my wist  http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea  (I got yelled at that I hadn't added anything lately, so added over 30 new things to my wist)

devil dogs!!  I'm outta devil dogs! (if you don't know what they are, you probably can't get them by you)

and if i stall out the swap, someone yell at me, and i'll add more stuff.

... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (even older since my last b'day, but i haven't hit 50 yet!), the one peering over the bifocals.  The one who may have managed to tear up my shoulder by knitting too much.  I have 1 teenager at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies, no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

I can put together another DIY sock kit or perhaps knit a pair... I'll PM you!

This is my first claim this round, I'm allowed two.

Annchens wishlist

I live in Uppsala, Sweden. I'm 25 years old and since my fiance is away working I live alone at the moment. I'm currently stressed out about my thesis and also a bit stressed out about living alone :/

Knitting is my stress relief, but I also like to make designs with hama/perler beads and paint on anything that sits still long enough. I sew sometimes, mostly when I get a crazy idea for a gift to someone I like, and while I can handle a sewing machine I'm not that good at it.

I've got rheumatism that affects my hips, knees and shoulders and I love to be warm and snuggly since being cold can make it worse. I've recently discovered the wonder that is wrist warmers.

I like bright fiery colours, but I can't wear bright red or things like that close to my face without looking like a vampire Sad Black, red (not tomato red), different purple colours... Green can be nice. Chocolate brown too. I'm not that good at figuring out what colours look good on me... Rainbow-colour if it's not a pastel rainbow. Anything goes for socks Cheesy

Sewn things
A scoodie with dark purple fur lining. Not too bright purple (I'm not good at describing colours). I don't mind looking like I killed a Muppet, but I don't like blindingly bright colours next to my face since I'm pretty pale. My winter jacket is dark purple, more blueish than reddish if that makes sense.

A Kroko hot water bottle cover like the poor guy from The Asylum (http://www.parapluesch.de/). There is a Kroko plushie in my wists but I like the way he looks in the game more. I have a hot water bottle already and I can measure it for you.

Cloth pads or just a cloth pad. I've been wanting to try the circle pad but any model will do. I'm not a heavy bleeder and I'm just as happy with pads without wings. Recycled fabrics are fine and I don't mind bright colours to bleed on Wink
Circle pad: http://shewhorunsintheforest.googlepages.com/

A bag for storing my knitting when I want to take a project with me.

A nice tote bag, but not too big. If I have a big bag I stuff too much junk in it and can't carry it Smiley

Yarny things
A knitted or crocheted beard.
I'm way to amused by this picture (I like the lower one better, but anything is good): http://www.pleasancepages.co.uk/node/1240

The flat kitty coaster from my wists. Any kitty-colour and pattern as long as it looks cute and squashed. If you feel like making a different kind of squashed animal that's fine too.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=157293.0

This red eyed tree frog: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=195987.0

Craft supplies
Felt soap kit (or just a felted soap, they look so neat)

Or a soap kit? I'd like to try soap making but I'm not sure where to start...

If you have hama beads or perler beads (or similar beads) you don't use I'll gladly take them Grin

Small things/misc
Dpn point protectors to keep my socks-in-progress from poking innocent bystanders.

Earrings like these: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=15623.0

Sewer slug from Flushed away. As a plushie or polymer clay thing perhaps?

Hair clips or something to keep my hair out of my face.

Small things to put in a magic yarnball for my 13 year old cousin who just got into knitting. She made two hats in just a few weeks and is already plotting the next step.

Random
A feel good package something to brighten my day. It gets so dark and depressing at this time of the year.

Something inspired by my wists.

My hates: Stuffies/amigurumi (I just don't have the room for them Undecided), bright/neon colours, itchy fibres, sequins, flashy jewellery, silky/shiny fabrics, polyester, plastic and insects.
Thank you to whoever picks me!
