those are so cute!  you did an amazing job.

and thanks for the fabric paint idea!  i'm making jolly roger and dungeons & dragons etched mugs for my boyfriend and i wasn't too crazy about using a craft knife to cut out all the little details on contact paper.  this will be MUCH easier!

YOWZA!   Shocked

Those look fabulous!  What a great idea to use paint as a stencil!  I really need to find some etching cream.  I'm just amazed at what people can do with it.  Wow.  Great job, your friend is going to love her gift!

I only know of one company - the product name is Armour Etch for the cream, and they do a soak so you can immerse a project too.  If you can find another brand and where to get it, let me know.  I bought Armour Etch at Michaels and White Rose (a Canadian company that has since gone out of business).  Unfortunately Michaels is not that close to me.  If there is another source out there, it may be easier for me when I need more of this stuff!

Really?!  Thank you so much!  I had such a crappy day today (bad news about DH's granddad, got upset and wasn't paying attention and melted a plastic lid on the stove - just bad karma today); this really cheered me up!  Thank you!

Wow, that is one lucky friend. I too, am a large unicorn fan. These are quite amazing! I've never even heard of etching cream-maybe I'll have to look into some.
