I made this one for the panda swap. It's done in colored pencil.

This one was a commissioned piece done in pastels. The dog is an Alaskan Eskimo named Rocky, he was a lot of fun to work on.

Thanks for looking!

by land, by sea, by dirigible
we'll leave our tracks untraceable now

Thanks!  Grin I really loved working on Rocky's smile! Here's a close up on his face. The leaves behind the panda were challenging at first, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

I'm a sucker for a cute panda face too, I was so happy to angel in the swap and really excited to draw a panda. I found the picture on flickr and borrowed some books from the library to get some close up pictures to work from. It was a lot of fun. I just loved that little "look how adorable I can be" pose.

That panda is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!! You did an amazing job on the background, as you know leaves are tricky. The dog is super cute too. Gives off a "play with me!" vibe.

I was really nervous about the background. A lot of times it's the hardest thing for me with the wildlife/animal drawings. It's a challenge but I'm willing to keep experimenting and studying work until I feel 100% comfortable with it. Thanks for noticing, it created a lot of anxiety.  Cheesy
