scoodie pattern for a toddler?

i want to make one of these

only knit instead of sewn...but i can only find adult sized patterns...i SUCK at changing patterns and i dont want to go down to super thin yarn....does anyone know of a good pattern or could talk me through how to make one (i've never attempted a hood before)

i would be so grateful if anyone can help!

thanks for that link it was very interesting, unfortunately it didnt really have any info about making a hood for a toddler...
