You can buy the individual bricks at lego dot com.  If you can do a layout first, just order the bricks you need and it might be cheaper than buying a tub full at Walmart.

I love these. I really want to make a set for my older brother for christmas but i'm not sure where to find corkboard around here. I live in a small town and I was thinking walmart might have it but i'm not sure. Maybe the hardware store? Where do you guys get yours from?

@lulu9527-Thanks. I had no idea you could buy single bricks from lego. That will probably be a lot cheaper than buying the huge buckets from walmart and hoping the right pieces are in there.
