Anyone interested in a DECO SWAP PIF (Pay It Forward)?  It will be a long term commitment, so if you cannot commit, please do not join.

What is a deco?  Check it out:  http://www.lisavollrath.com/articles/009.html

You start one deco for the previous poster from their list.  Post and PM the person you will be making the deco for to get an address.

You list 4-6 themes you would like in return.  The next person to post chooses one of your themes and list their own themes.

IT WORKS LIKE THIS:

I begin with the following list:

1. Fairies
2. Paper Dolls
3. Dragons
4. Horses
5. Pin-Ups
6. Lyrics

PARTICIPANT A posts that she will make a dragon deco for me.  She then lists the following for her themes:

1.  Cows
2.  Cats
3.  Airplanes
4.  Italy

PARTICIPANT B posts that she will make a cat deco for PARTICIPANT A.  She then lists the following for her themes:

1.  Flowers
2.  Color Red
3.  Water
4.  Babies
5.  Teeth

PARTICIPANT C posts that she will make a water deco for PARTICIPANT B.  She then list her themes.

ETC., ETC., ETC.

You can continue to sign up for decos that interest you.  Let me know if there is any interest.

That's how it works!  I have never done one this way before, but it seems like a great way to get some new books started.  When we are finished we could do the same thing, only with established books.

Sounds fun (btw, thanks for the link, its very helpful!)  The more book altering I do, the more it gets me interested into doing strange things to paper!

This is right up my alley, but I have a million things going on right now  and can't quite commit to another swap.
If you do start this up in March or later, I would totaly be interested.

So...I'm a little confused.Do you actually sign up for this or do you just post until you find somebody who will do something on your list? How do you know where to send your deco next? How long of a commitment would this be? I guess I'm kind of imagining it to be like the journal circle thing...but with more art than writing. Is that sorta right?

So when we make the book for CrafterX, we make it with some blank pages for additional artists to embellish?

I think we should do as many pages in the deco as are creativeity allows!  Some may only be one page, others may be 4 pages!  I really don't want to limit it.

If somebody wants to start by posting their list, that would be great!

Okay, this has been VERY difficult! The creation of decos for others will be easier than making my list:)
1. The Regency Period
2. World War II
3. Cowboys
4. Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies
5. The 1920's (& 30's & 40's & 50's)
6. Books
