(Pattern on pages 4 and 5)

I made this little guy for a friend of mine.
A few years a go she didn't even know what Star Wars was. Thankfully I changed all that.

Sorry about the lame photos.
I took them right before I went to give him to my friend so I was in a rush.

Hood Down:

Hood Up:

The little stick he's holding opens up and his lightsaber comes out.
The lightsaber (why oh WHY didn't I take a picture of that???) is made from a mini glowstick, some silver duct tape and some markers.

If I ever get the chance I'll take some better pictures of him.

So what do you think??

Pattern appears later in the thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=210775.msg2401024#msg2401024

Wonderful job!  I'm in the process of getting through all of the movies myself.
I second the request for a pattern!

ahh i LOVE it! i am a tad star wars obsessed, but i don't think i'm that biased. it's so, so awesome. thirding the request for a pattern? i don't know how to crochet, but for this, i'd learn.
I may not be perfect, but I'm so close it's almost eerie.

This guy is adorable, I love his little ears! And your lightsaber in the stick idea is genius.

I saw the original movie in the theater 10 times and trained both of my kids well. My son drives around with a stuffed Chewie in his dash.

So super cute!  I love it!

Sort of OT- My cousin is a movie make-up artist,  and when I was 6 I wanted to be Yoda more than anything else, so he made me the ears and the mask and I was so into it that I sat for a couple of hours for him to apply it all, along with the make-up.  It was definitely one of my coolest costumes ever!
