My thready crocheted opus...





Nuthin' like a lacy brain to wear about the shoulders...





I worked this up from a chart of my own design in filet crochet.



Took FOR-EVER. 

3000 yards of thread. 

Size 6 steel hook.

Labor of love.

Isn't it funny hoe we an look at something and our brain says it's one thing, and then, someone tells us it's something different, and that's how we see it from that point on? When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a stylized tree design. I thought it was beautiful. Then you told me it was a brain, and now it's strange, but still beautiful. That's an amazing amount of dedication to finish such an elaborate project. Congratulations.
