I am trying to make up socks for my CHRISTmas gifts this year (strapped for cash, you know the drill...so make it! LOL)

I have tried making them with the magic loop method & I end up with a tangled mess.....

is there a particular size circular needle I need to use to create this?

I have a

 6.00 mm (us:1) 29"-73.5 cm circular needle

can I magic loop with it?

thanks!

If my understanding of 29 inches is right, then definitely! Check out the video on KH?

What pattern are you using? Could you consider DPNs even if just till you understand socks or knitting in the round? Or maybe 2 circs? (if you continue to find ML difficult)

A 6mm is a US 10. You're making thick socks right? But the length is fine to ML with.

here's another post where I'm talking about my DPN socks.....I just don't know what I'm doing wrong....all of them are like house socks (if you know what I mean).....maybe it's the thickness of the yarn...
